Happy Birthday Randy!

Today my handsome husband turns 23. I am so lucky to have him in my life. Here are 23 reasons why I love this man!
1-He has such a strong testimony and love for the gospel.
2-He honors his priesthood.
3-He loves me for who I am.
4-He has a hard work ethic
5-He tries his hardest at whatever he does.
6-I love that he makes me laugh no matter what the situation, good or bad.
7-I love that he always puts a smile on my face.
8-He loves to go for walks and feed ducks.
9-I love that we both like to do things togethers.
10-I love his little corks/faults he has(even though some of them drive me crazy)
11-I love that whenever something good or bad happens he always tells me to smile and keep my chin up.
12-I love his attitude about life and how he lives it to the fullest.
13-I love that he helps people whenever he can.
14-I love that he whenever we go to bed he has to have the covers completely straight
15-I love that whenever we go somewhere that sells shoes he has to go and look at them.
16-I love that we don't have many arguements just disagreements.
17-I love how he is very thrifty.
18-He loves being around family.
19-I love that he admires and looks up to his dad.
20- I love how whenever we are walking he has to hold my hand.
21-I love how he loves to cuddle!
22-I love how we can just sit around for hours and talk.
23-I love that he chose me to be his eternal companion!

Ginger just turned 200,000 miles old

Ginger(our car) turned 200,000 miles old yesterday. I had been waiting for this for about two weeks. I was so excited. I just had to take a picture!

School

Well I have now finished my first full week of school. I am not going to lie I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Everyday after school I leave feeling like I haven't accomplished anything. I am not in the school mode yet where I work ahead in the semester and complete assignment two or three weeks early. But right now I am only doing the homework that is due the next class period.
My two least favorite classes are Music Methods and Math 206. In music methods I have to learn how to play the recorder and to be perfectly honest....it is not going well at all. I don't like it at all. In my Math 206 class which is geometry I have to do weird assignments and scan them into the computer and then upload them. I am just really not liking those two classes right now.
I do love all of my other classes though. I am really looking forward to being done with college and moving on with my life. I have one more semester after this one and then I graduate. I really need to get my student teaching requirements done as well. That is a huge part of my stress. Wish me luck it is going to be a LONG semester.

Oregon Trip part 3

On the way home from Oregon we saw some pretty interesting things. We followed the Columbia River forever and it is huge river. The scenery around it was really beautiful. I didn't get any pictures of it because there were so many trees in the way. One thing that I really loved about Oregon was that it SO green. Everywhere you looked there was green it was so pretty.

One of the cool things we saw on the way home was this water fall. There were a ton of waterfalls on the side of the road for awhile but this was one you could stop at and take pictures. It was also the biggest.

The other cool thing that we saw is something I had never seen and you don't see very often if at all in the wild and that is Big Horn Sheep. We were just driving along and there was a ton of them on the side of the road. Randy was so excited and got tons of pictures. I only posted two because there were alot. Overall it was a great trip and I am so glad that we got to go!

Oregon Trip part 2

This was a funny sign that we saw while at the beach. It was about if a tsumani hits and how to evactuate the beach.

Well after the wedding lunch we had about five hours to kill so we decided to drive to the coast which was about an hour and a half away. We went to a place called Cannon Beach. It was so pretty. Randy and never really seen the Pacific Ocean before with waves and everything. Randy and his dad Blake had a blast while there.

These are pictures of the rocks that were just below Haystack Rock. They had shells and living creatures living in them. There was a lot of moss as well. Blake and Randy got up close and personal.

When we got to Cannon Beach there was this huge rock and then several other little ones around it. It was such a beautiful beach. We walked along the beach for a about a mile and the sand was so soft. It was really cold and windy on the beach. I took several pictures because I don't know if we will ever be back there again so I wanted to remember it. I took a picture of Randy with the ocean and real waves in the background. He had a blast at the beach. As we got closwer to Haystack Rock we could see that there were many small rocks at its base with lots of sea creatures living there. Randy and his day went to investigate. They saw starfish and many other creatures. We noticed that in the rocks there were many shells and coral reef looking things. They were really cool. Blake and Randy went an talked to some hippie person that was there trying to tell people what to do. Those two were really curious so that went up to ask what type of animals were living there and to ask all sorts of questions. Diana and me just stayed back and walked around the beach and I played in the water and got all wet. We were at the beach for about an hour and started watching the tide come in and the sun set. We had to get back to Portland so we could change again and go to the wedding reception.

At the wedding reception we got to about the last hour. It was really interesting. Mike comes from a very musical family so we watched people sing, play the piano, and sing duets. It was really good I had never seen that before.

We saw the happy couple off and we headed back to our hotel room. We had to get up early the next day to start heading back. We were going to split up the driving on the way back into two days. So we drove to Boise and spent the night and then drove the rest of the way home on Monday morning. In the next post I will show you pictures of the cool stuff we saw on the way home.

Oregon Trip Part 1

I am going to break up the Oregon trip into parts because there a lot of pictures and we did some fun things on different days. Last Friday morning Randy, me, Blake, and Diana hit the road going west toward Portland, Oregon. We were going for the weekend because Randy's best friend from high school Mike Packer got married. We left at 6:00 and stopped in Twin Falls for breakfast with my brother-in-law Jared and his girlfriend Nikelle. We continued on our journey for another ten hours or so. We made some stops along the way. We got to Portland at about seven because we got stuck in traffic for about in hour. We got to the hotel checked in and went to sleep. We had to be up early the next day because we went to the sealing of Mike and Alexis at the Portland Oregon Temple. It was just a beautiful ceremony and I am so glad we were able to attend. It meant a lot to Mike's family that we traveled that far. After we waited for the happy couple to come out. We busied ourselves by talking and taking pictures around the temple grounds. After pictures we went to a wedding lunch at Olive Garden. It was really good, but I must say the water in Oregon is disgusting! That is the first part more to come in another post.

I was really thankful that we were able to go this sealing because it put into perspective how important life and my marriage is to me. Hearing the sealer talk about how to cherish one another and love each other know matter what really moved me. I was glad to be able to see this temple and to feel the spirit so strongly. The grounds were so beautiful with lots of flowers, water fountain, a pond, and tons of trees that had moss all over them. It was a cool and kind of wet day(from the day before) but so nice. I feel so blessed to visit a new temple whenever I get the chance.

Back to School

Today I started school. The good news is I have only one more semester after this which means...I graduate in December. Oh my goodness I can't believe that it took me this long but it is in the near future. This semester I am taking 19 credits and it is going to be a long and hard one. I go to school everyday and so far I love my Tuesday and Thursday classes! We shall see about the others. Wish me luck!

Congrats JARED!!

My brother-in-law Jared got his mission call and he is going to St. Louis, Missouri. He enters the MTC on May 25th. I am so proud of him and the choice he made to serve a mission. I know that he is going to do an amazing job! I am really close with Jared and he is not only my brother but a great friend as well. I am so happy for him!
