Oh How I Hate You...

Yes I hate GEOMETRY! Geometry: The branch of mathematics concerned with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces, solids, and higher dimensional analogs.

Who ever thought it was a necessary subject to learn let alone teach was really dumb. I just don't understand why I have to know all about angles, how to construct bisectors, or what a parallelogram is. I am taking Math 206 at BYU-I this semester and I really hate it. I have to write my own textbook as well which I still have no idea what is even expected of me. I learned how to do geometry in like ninth grade but apparently they are now learning how to do it in 5TH GRADE!
I am really having a love-hate relationship with you right now.

MINI REUNION

I got to see these three great people today for about 30 minutes. I was at the Provo temple and they came to see me and my husbands family for a little bit. I was so excited I got to see them because I love them dearly. I get to see them next week for about four days and I am so excited. My niece Peyton is so cute I just love her so much!

See you in two years JARED!

This morning Randy and I, Jared, Mom and Dad left for Provo, Ut. We were going down to drop Jared off at the MTC. He had to report at 1:15 on May 25, 2011. We left at 7:15 and got to Orem about 11:00. We ate lunch at Goodwood and then headed down to the Provo temple to take pictures. We hung out at the temple until about one and then we headed over for the dreaded but very much anticipated goodbye. We unloaded Jared's suitcases and had a few quick hugs before he walked away. It was a bittersweet goodbye. We are all so proud of Jared and his decision to serve a mission. I am not going to lie I cried last night when he got set apart and then again as I hugged him for the last time. I have always been really close to Jared, he is the brother I never had. I am so excited to write him and see him grow. He is going to St. Louis Missouri. He will be a great missionary and will make the Lord happy. Good Luck Jared we love and miss you! See you in two years!

This picture was really cool because I know how proud of Jared that Blake is. I really look up to these two men and I am so glad that I was part of this experience

Our Story

Randy and I have been married for 21 months today. As we approach our 2 year anniversary I got to thinking about how we met, dating life, and eventually getting married. I know the story and I know that many others who know me know the story but I wanted to write it down so I don't forget any details and then some day my children will be able to read it.
It all started back in October of 2004, my junior year of high school. I came to Blackfoot for UEA weekend from school to watch my cousin Brian play football. Brian was dating a now great friend of mine Marisa (Park) Haycock. I went to the football game at Blackfoot high school and there I met several people but it was also the night I met Randy Purcell for the first time. He was just standing there with his good friend Mike Packer wearing his leathermans jacket acting as if he owned the world. He looked mean and to be honest I was afraid of him. We said hi to each other and that was that. Over the next two years whenever I came to Idaho and we saw each other we talked and hung out a few times with a bunch of people but that was pretty much it. (I just have to throw this little note in here: I had a huge crush on Randy from the moment I met him) It wasn't until the summer of 2006 after we had graduated from high school that I moved to Blackfoot for the summer to work and play before starting college in the fall. It was this summer that Randy and I got to know each other very well and hung out a lot. After that summer was over I moved back to Orem to go to college. In October of 2006 I got Randy's cell phone number from my friend Amanda. I called him and we chatted for a few minutes. Meanwhile Randy was dating another girl but we continued to talk about once over week or so. I came up to Blackfoot that Christmas and Randy and I hung out for the first time by ourselves for an entire day and it was then that I fell hard for him but I didn't tell him that of course. So a few months go by and I find out that Randy and my Spring Break are on the same week. So I come up to Idaho for five days to hang out with Randy(still thinking that he is dating this girl from last October) and we go snowmobiling and watch movies etc. Well it was the night before I was supposed to go back to Utah and we are watching a movie and he holds my hand for the first time. I was so giddy and happy but at the same time I thought he was still dating this girl but he wasn't and he just never told me. Well it was the next day that we became official boyfriend and girlfriend. Randy received his mission call that same weekend and was leaving on May 9th 2007. So we dated for about 2 months in which he came down to visit me a few times and we had our first kiss. It was on April 23, 2007 that Randy and I both said I love you too each other. We had phone dates every night at 9:00 because we were in two different states. Randy was speaking in church for his farewell talk and I came up to listen to him. That was the best/hardest weekend of my life because I knew that I had to say goodbye for two years and I had a feeling we would eventually get married but a lot could happen in two years and I was nervous and sad because I just wasn't sure. Randy left on his mission on May 9, 2007 to Winnipeg Canada. It was the longest and hardest two years of my life but totally worth it. We wrote each other every week sometimes more and grew in love and as friends for those two years. He returned home from his mission on May 15, 2009 and we immediately started dating. He said he needed to date other girls and I knew he would want to but it broke my heart anyways. Well he went on one date and decided nope I just want to date you! I was the happiest girl on the planet. We dated for about six weeks and were engaged on July 3rd 2009 and we married 3 months to the day he got home from his mission on August 15, 2009 in the Draper Utah Temple. That was the happiest day of my life because I was sealed for time and all eternity to my best friend and the man of my dreams. Now almost two years later we have had our struggles and disagreements but we continue to grow in love each day.

ALone for a week

It is official as of this morning at 4:06 am I am alone for an entire week. Randy, Jared, my mother and father in law all left on a week long trip to Texas. They are moving my brother in laws family stuff down to Texas because they just moved there. They are driving all day today and tomorrow and will unload and stuff on Monday. I believe the rest of the time they are going to hang out and visit with Brian Maden and Celia because we won't be seeing them as much as we have been.
I couldn't go to Texas with them because I am in school. I am close to graduating and I didn't want to miss one week of school and run the risk of missing some important classes and maybe failing them. So instead I get to hang out for a whole week by myself just going to school and house sitting. I was very anxious about all of them leaving me because I am not used to being left behind in Idaho all by myself. Usually whenever they go somewhere I go with them or have someone here with me. I was very nervous for all of them to travel that far with that much stuff. So basically it is a party for me this week. They will return next Friday sometime. Until then the picture above describes how I am feeling about being lonely for a week to the T.

Let the project begin..

Well Randy and I will be moving once again into a house in about two or three months. We are fixing it up and making it a home for the both of us. We are painting the whole house, cleaning the carpets, adding decorations, doing stuff to the yard etc. We are starting this project within the next two weeks and I am so excited.
We are going to be living in a house and no longer moving until we have to(if we ever have to). Let the project begin!

Mothers Day

Today is Mother's Day! I was lucky enough to spend it with both of mine. My mother came up from Utah for the weekend and we spent it hanging out, chatting, cooking, and spending time with family.
I went to Twin Falls this morning with my mother-in-law and my husbands family to see my brother-in-law Jared speak for his mission farewell.

I am so lucky to have these two amazing women in my life. They are so important to me and such great examples of how I want to be as a future mother. Happy Mother's Day Shauna and Diana! I love you guys and thanks for all you do!
