Thoughts

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged but life has been super busy with my teaching and keeping up with all the everyday things that need to be handled.
I just wanted to share my thoughts about that happened this weekend in Connecticut. As a regular person I was thinking that it is a huge tragedy and I think who would ever do something like that. But being a teacher puts a whole new meaning to on it for me. Let's just say it has been quite the emotional weekend. I heard about the shooting from my husband who was watching it at the airport. I wasn't at home at the time so I couldn't turn on the T.V. and watch it for myself. I really didn't want to because I didn't want to think about those poor innocent children and faculty that went through such a terrible thing. All I could think about all weekend were my kids and how glad I was that they were safe at home with their families. I thought about each and every one of my kids and thought how grateful I am for each and everyone of them and how special they are to me.
It made me think about it what I would do if any harm ever came to my kids and without a doubt I would do what those teachers did who died saving their kids. I look up to those teachers and want to be exactly like them. It is people like them that made me want to become and teacher and it just soldifies to me that I am doing what I was meant to do with my life.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families that were affected by this horrific tragedy. I know without a doubt that those kids are at peace and with their Heavenly Father. This picture is the perfect image that has brought me peace this weekend.

It is entitle "Security" and I know that those kids are very secure in the place they are now at. They  died far to young and innocent.

Pumpkin Love

Every year since Randy and I have been married he has planted a garden. Well this year we decided to plant pumpkins and we ended up getting 6 pumpkins. Several of them got rotted because of the huge one we ending up getting. We had to harvest them tonight because it is supposed to freeze tonight. We ended up getting a 60 pound pumpkin and it is Randy's pride and joy.

Trip down memory lane....

Randy and I went on a drove by our old apartment tonight and it brought back some great memories from when we were first married! I loved that place so much! It was great taking a trip down memory lane.

Make Me Smile!!

I had to post these two pictures because tonight was the Back to School Night Open House where I got to meet my students and they brought their school supplies and kind of got settled in. Well two of my students gave me gifts a picture and a German tradition gift full of candy from all of the world. It made me smile because these kids made me gifts without even knowing me and are so excited to start the school year! I am so excited to get started and to get to know my students more and more each day!

Cheers to 3 Years!

Today marks three years for Randy and I. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by.

Cheers to 3 Years and many more to come!! I am the luckiest girl in the world to be married to my best friend and a man that literally would do anything for me. He has supported and put up with my mood swings through thick and thin. He continually shows his love for me by always telling me he loves me, loving on me, telling me how proud he is of me, and the list goes on and on! I love you babe so much Happy 3rd Anniversary!!

For our anniversary Randy and I both had to work so we decided to go out to dinner after both of us got off of work. I got home before Randy and was just hanging out while waiting for Randy to get home. He came home and gave me these gorgeous flowers:

 We then left to go to dinner at Olive Garden it was a great anniversary dinner! It was good to just spend some quality time with my wonderful husband. Love you babe!!

ONE WEEK!!!

In one week my life is going to change and be very different from now on. In one week I will become a 3rd grade teacher! I can't believe how fast this summer has flown by. Clear back in May I thought I had all the time in the world to prepare for this but it turns out I didn't. I still need to finish putting together my room, do lesson planning, create my student favors, attend meetings, and prepare for my open house where I meet my students for the first time!! I am so excited but nervous at the same time!!! 7 days and I become a teacher!!!

....Lots To Do...

Well I cleaned out my basement and gathered all my teacher stuff to load up and take down to my classroom. This is most of it but I do have some things left to get from my mother in laws house. There are about 9 bins filled with things. It should be a blast to go through and organize it. I am super excited for my journey to begin. Wish me luck!

Fourwheeling

Two weeks ago we went fourwheeling for the first time of the season. We went to Blake down to Pocatello to the Mink Creek area. Randy's dad wanted to check and make sure all his four wheelers were ready for the season and when company comes this summer. It was only the three of us and we had a swell time. We loaded up the four wheelers, packed a lunch, and set out on our adventure.

Tautphaus Park Zoo

Last Monday Randy and I went to the Tautphaus Park Zoo with some of our really good friends. We love having a couple to hang out with. My friend Brittie loves animals and really wanted to go to the zoo. So we decided to go and see what it was all about. It was a small little zoo but was worth the six dollars to get in. We had a really good time and I loved to see all the animals!

Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2012

This past weekend Randy and I made a trip down to Utah for the Utah Valley Parade of Homes 2012. We have made it a tradition that we go every year now. It is so much fun to go and look at homes to get some ideas for our future house.  We went on Friday and Saturday and we saw a total of 19 houses up and down the Utah Valley, from Alpine to Woodland Hills. We saw some very interesting things such as slides, indoor basketball courts, tons of jack-and-jill bathrooms, crazy theater rooms, indoor arcades etc. You name it we probably saw it! Here are some of the pictures I took of some of the houses we saw!

 I loved walking through each and every one of these houses because it really gives you an idea of how to decorate for your own home. The different color schemes are awesome and go so well together. I took some notes and I am so excited to one day decorate my own house.
