My Family Came to Visit

This past weekend my family came up from Utah to visit. My mom, dad, little sister Mikala, older sister Megan, and my niece Peyton came up for five days. My brother-in-law Jeff couldn't come because he had to work, that made me sad. They came up on Wednesday and went home Sunday. We went four-wheeling on Thursday and had a ton of fun. We went up to Iron Bog. It was really hot and we definitely got some sun and were filthy by the end of the day. We mostly just hung out with them every chance we got. On Saturday night my Aunt Selena threw a surprise 40th birthday party for my Uncle Chris. That was a ton of fun. The weekend overall was a blast. I don't get to see my family very often so I was so glad they came up. I love them so much and love when I do get to see them!

Chambers Family Island Park Reunion/Yellowstone

This weekend went to the July 9-11. Randy's mom, Diana's side of the family has a family reunion about every two years or so. This year it took place in Island Park. We headed up there on Friday and we left on Sunday. The whole weekend was really fun. They rented two huge mansions that we slept in. We did a lot of fun activities such as played in the water, minute to win it games, hung out, played games, and went on nature drives. On Friday night a few of us went on a nature drive and we saw five moose. I don't have any pictures of them but it was really cool. Saturday we just played in the water all day and mostly hung out. Randy and I, Cindy and Ken and Sydney, Brian and Celia, and Blake all left on Sunday morning because Ken and Sydney had never been to Yellowstone before so we were going to drive through the park on our way home.
Yellowstone was a lot of fun during the first part of it took a pretty bad turn. Cindy(Randy's oldest sister) got sick and threw up many times. I began to feel sick and I got sick too. The rest of the ride home was so miserable. It took us about ten hours to get home because we had to go out Jackson. Well it turns out that about 19 of the 43 people that were at the reunion that weekend got sick. We are not sure what caused it. It was either bad eggs or too much iron in the water in our cabin. Over all it was a fun weekend minus the getting sick part. It was really good to see everyone because we don't get that chance very often.

4th of July!

Better late than never! Life has been pretty crazy around our household. I have been a little behind on blogging. This blog is about our fourth of July weekend. We both had to work in the morning but in the afternoon we had a BBQ with Randy's family. After dinner we went and played tennis to kill some time before heading to Idaho Falls. At about 5:00 we headed up to Idaho Falls for the fireworks show. The fireworks in Idaho Falls are amazing and are synced to music. We went up with Randy's parents and little brother Jared. We had a great time and loved the fireworks.
I am so grateful to live in this country and for the freedoms that I get to have. I am thankful for the men and women who have died and continue to fight for my freedoms.

Fourwheeling Excursion in Mink Creek

Yesterday Randy and me, Jared and Erin, and Mike and Lexie went fourwheeling to Mink Creek, located south of Pocatello. We started our adventure at about 4:00 and let's just say it was a very adventurous, scary, and fun ride. We started out our ride on normal trails. We were having a great time. We stopped for lunch or more like snack time and then decided to head out again. We came to a crossroads and we decided to take the path called Monemental Gulche Trail. We were all wondering what gulche meant or what it was. We went down the trail and it got really treacherous. It was a really scary trail because it was really skinny one. There was trees that were super close together, it was mostly down hill, it was rocky/bumpy, and branches were hitting us left and right. Well the worst part is that we kept going on this trail and we didn't know where it ended up and it was getting pretty late. We just kept getting farther and farther from the parking lot where our truck was parked. We didn't want to go back up the gulche trail because that would of been really bad. So we kept driving to the top of this hill where we could see a spectacular view of Pocatello. We eventually found a path that would lead us down towards the city of Pocatello and to the highway that would lead us back to the truck. The bad thing is that it is illegal to drive on main roads on a fourwheeler but we had drive like 13 miles to get back to the truck. We were worried that we would get picked up by the cops. We made it to the highway and just kept driving really fast. We eventually made it to the track and were loaded up when a sheriffs car drove past. We all looked at each other and laughed because we just made it without being caught. It was a fun ride but scary at times!

Date Night-Idaho Falls Chuckars Baseball Game

Last night Randy and I went on a date. He has never been to a baseball game, not even high school, so I thought it would be a good idea to go to one. We went to the the Idaho Falls Chukars vs. Orem Owlz. I thought wow that is cool because I am from Orem but now I live in Idaho. It was a ton of fun. We had dinner and then drove to Idaho Falls for the game. The gates opened at 6:00 and of course we got there before than. The game started at 7:15 so we had an hour and fifteen minutes to kill. It was really hot so we just sat and baked in the sun. They had entertainment going on in the field so we got to watch that. I got a free shirt which was awesome because I mean who doesn't like free things! The game started and we watched. It was getting late and the game was still going so we left early. When we left the Chukars were ahead by 5 so I think they won. Randy really enjoyed himself and was like we need to come back to another one. Below are some pictures we took. It was a great date and I am so grateful to have Randy as my husband!

Waiting for the game to start, baking in the sun.

Spur of the Moment Trip--Montana

On Saturday I was at work and I got a call from a good friend of mine from Montana. She lives in Missoula but she was visiting with her boyfriend in Dillon, Montana for a high school graduation. She wanted to know if Randy and I wanted to come and visit for a few hours. Dillon is only 170 miles from Blackfoot so we thought sure we can go and have dinner, hang out and then come home that night. Well we decided to make it an over night, spur of the moment trip. So we packed our bags and drove the 170 miles and had a great little vacation.
We got our hotel room first then met up with Britten and Joe for dinner. Dillon, Montana is a small town so we went a place called Spanky's Garage. It was really good. After dinner we went and got a treat from Dairy Queen. We drove around for a while and laughed our heads off. We then just hung out and then went to breakfast the next morning. It was great to just have a spur of the moment adventure and to see a very good friend of mine! It was a ton of fun. Randy and I had a great time!

This is where we ate dinner it was so good!

A view of Dillon, Montana. Country which is what
we love!

Last Tuesday I didn't have to go to either school or work which is a very rare occassion. Randy suggested that we go fourwheeling because I won't get to go a lot this summer because of school and work. So we loaded up a fourwheeler on the back of our escape and went for a short and fun ride. Randy and I share something in common that I love. We both love to be outdoors and have a love and appreciation for nature. We love to look at mountains, sunsets etc. We got to see some beautiful sights such as the river and a deer.
