9 months!

I just wanted to write a short blog about how Randy and I have now been married for 9 months! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. In just three more months it will be a YEAR! I had to work today but after I got off Randy took me to dinner. It was fun to just spend some time together. After dinner we went and fed the ducks and geese. It was fun and we got back in the car to come home and our car wouldn't start. Let's just say that ruined my day and attitude. Apparently the battery was dead as a door nail. so we replaced it and now our car runs as good as new. The day got better because later we went to the driving range and got ice cream! It was a fun day minus the car episode. I love you babe and look forward to many more years!

Randy's 22nd Birthday!

Randy turned 22 last Friday. He had a great birthday. I had to go to school all day on his birthday so on Thursday I took him shopping to get his presents and then we went out to dinner. On his actual birthday Randy's mom cooked dinner and then we had a party with cake and ice cream with his parents and family. We then headed over to my grandparents to celebrate with my side of the family. My family came up for the weekend from Utah so they were able to be here for his birthday. We had cake and ice cream there as well. Randy is a huge fan of the movie CARS. So for his birthday I got him cars balloons and decorations for his two cakes. He had a good birthday and now he is one year older and wiser too! I love you babe!

Tractor Fun

Randy had some fun with this huge tractor. He has been helping one of his good friends family dig a pit for a sand volleyball. He borrowed this big tractor from a guy in our ward to get the process done once and for all. He was really excited to get to drive it. Randy is a real country boy and loves tractors and big machinery. He had the time of his life.

LoVe LiKe CrAzY!

Randy and I have been married a little over 8 months now and is has been amazing. I couldn't ask for a better husband. There is a song that Randy loves called "LOVE LIKE CRAZY." I never really listened to it till the other day. It tells such an awesome story and what I think that every married couple should pattern their lives after it. I love that me and Randy have such a strong love and have faith that everything will work out. Here are the lyrics:
They called them crazy when they started out,
said 17 to young to know what loves about.
they've been together 58 years now,
thats crazy.
He brought home 67 bucks a week
bought a little two bedroom house on maple street
where she blessed him with six more mouths to feed
thats crazy
just ask him how he did it
he'll say pull up a seat it'll only take a minute to tell you everything.
Chorus:
Be a best friend
tell the truth
over use I love you
go to work
do your best
don't outsmart your common sense
never let your prayin knees get lazy
and love like crazy.
They called him crazy when he quit his job
sellin home computers boy they'll never take off
well he sold his one man shop to microsoft
and they paid like crazy
Just ask him how he made it
he'll tell you faith and sweat
and the heart of a faithful woman who never will let him forget
be a best friend
tell the truth
over use I love you
go to work
do your best
don't outsmart your common sense
never let your prayin knees get lazy
and love like crazy
they called him crazy when they started out
they've been together 58 years now
ain't that crazy.
I love the line that says "never let your prayin knees get lazy, and love like crazy" It is so true and Randy and I try to do our best with what we have and that is each other and faith. I love you babe!

Marisa's Wedding

My good friend Marisa Park got married yesterday. I wasn't able to attend the sealing ceremony because I had to work. So Randy and I went to her wedding reception last night. It was a good time to see old friends and congratulate her and wish her and her husband a happy life together. I have known marisa for six years now. I met her through my cousin and me and Marisa have been really good friends ever since. Randy and I loved going because it was a chance for us to talk about when we got married and what we have been through since then.

8 months!

I just wanted to post a quick post telling the world that Randy and I have now been married for 8 months! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. When I first met Randy six years ago I really liked him. Let's just say I didn't think I would actually marry him but then again I was 16 at that time. I truly am the luckiest girl in the world to be married to my best friend and the greatest guy in the world! I look forward to the years to come and the great memories we will make together! I love you babe!

Leveling the yard

The place we just moved into has a big yard. The back yard is where an old potato cellar used to be. Since they took the cellar out the spot where it used to be has turned into a mess of weeds and left over dirt piles over the years. When we moved in the land lord told us we could make improvements to the house and yard, in return they would take money off our rent for that month. Last week my dad and brother came over to help me get all the random piles of fence and metal out from in the weeds so we could burn the them. As we were doing that it started snowing on us, and snowed for the next few days. This made it so that the weeds were to wet to burn. We went to Utah this weekend and that gave the weeds time to dry. Today my brother and I burnt the weeds off the yard. My dad came over to see what it looked like and helped us out. As we were looking at the yard and talking about how to level it out we saw a tractor across the street that the bishops son in law was borrowing from the bishop. We went over and tried to talk to them but they were not home, so my dad called the bisop and asked him. He said it was fine so we took the tractor and started leveling out the yard. It worked great, Dad and Jared had to stand on the scraper to give it some extra weight so it would take out the piles of dirt better. We got it as level as we could with the tractor. We went and got a harrow and the fourwheeler to drag over the yard and get it leveled out real good. Once again there wasn't quite enough weight on the harrow so someone had so stand on the harrow as we dragged it around. We got it all leveled out and now all we have to do is get the rocks out and plant grass. It's nice to get the yard looking better I can't wait till we get the grass growing. Thanks to Dad and Jared for the help.

Deer Adventure!

I love being outdoors, especially during the spring/summer. I have to be in nature moreso the mountains. I love to go look for and watch deer. I just think they are so much fun to watch. Randy and I live about 20 minutes from a place called Wolverine where we go fourwheeling and snowmobiling. Well now that the seasons are changing I have convinced Randy to go look for deer. He enjoys it too! We have been before but it was really dark and hard to see them. We went yesterday for a fun activity to do together. We saw over like 200 deer last night. We took some pictures and a video! It was a great time and we go often!

Driving a Lawnmower

Randy and I just moved to Blackfoot from an apartment in Idaho Falls. We now have a yard that we have to take care of. We live about a mile from Randy's parents. We borrowed their lawn mower so Randy could mow the lawn and make it look a little better after a long winter. I told Randy I want to try and drive it because I have never driven a riding lawn mower before. Being from Utah my parents yard wasn't big enough to have a riding lawn mower. I grew up with a push mower. So Randy showed me how to drive it and I had a blast driving it all over our lawn! I was having so much fun and laughing so hard Randy ran into the house to get my camera and began taking pictures. Just another fun adventure in the great state of Idaho and marriage!

This is how we haul the lawn mower from house to house.

LIFE IS GREAT!

Life in our home has been a little hectic and busy. We have finished putting the house together and now we are just working on improvements such as painting and cleaning. I am looking forward to the month of April because we have a lot going on.
  1. Start at my new job
  2. Visit my family in Utah for 4 days(not sure the next time we will be going down)
  3. Start my next semester at BYU-I
  4. Spring weather starts and life becomes a lot more active.

I am really excited about school to start and about working. Ever since I have been going to college I have worked full time and gone to school. I haven't worked in about eight months because I quit my job in Utah right before I married the love of my life. I didn't work my first semester of college because it was such a busy semester. I have been off track for the last 4 months and I am excited to be working and going to school again at the same time because I have felt like I haven't done anything productive the last 4 months.

Randy and I are going down to Utah for a visit next week and I am really excited because I am not sure the next time I will be able to go because of school and work. But I know my family is coming up over the summer to visit for awhile so I am glad I will bet to see them. Living in Idaho I miss my family a lot and hanging out with them.

The month of April brings along with it warmer weather and that means being outside more and doing active things. This time of the year makes me more goal oriented and positive.

Life for Randy and I are great and we have several things to look forward too. I just wanted to share with everyone who reads our blog the things that have been happening in our lives. We have a lot to be grateful for and I know that if you continue to do what is right and stick it out then the Lord will bless you.
