Mikala's Visit and Island Park Day Trip

This past week my little sister came up to help clean my house that Randy and I are going to be moving into in the next month or so. She worked really hard during the day while I was at school and then we played at night. We made lots of corn bread, watched shows like the Bachelorette, America Got Talent, and the NBA finals games, went to Island Park, went shopping, met firemen at Winco, laughed our heads off at great DIBS, and lots of other things. Here are some pictures of her visit.

Nice hairdo..she wore it like this alot all week

My sweet awesome sister Mikala and I

On Thursday Randy, Mikala, and I headed up to Island Park for a day trip. We went to Mesa Falls and Big Springs. We saw ducks, deer, and elk, and a fox. We went on a little adventure on a dirt road and got the car dirty and it was really pretty here are some pictures of our adventure.

Bad Day turned Good...

Yesterday I was feeling like this...
Because I think I failed a very important tests called the Praxis. This is a test that I need to have passed before I can do my student teaching. I was feeling bummed out and frustrated and that I was a failure. I came home and did four hours straight of homework, when this man

came to kidnap me and take me out to get my mind off my horrible day. We went for a walk, out to dinner, shopping, and then came home to watch a movie and had ice cream. My bad day turned good because of my amazing husband, love you babe!

Just Because I Love Him!

He is so cute!

Utah Valley Parade of Homes

On Saturday Randy, me, Mikala, Megan, and my dad went to the parade of homes. We started in Woodland Hills and ended in Highland. We saw a bunch of houses and some were really cool others were a little to exaggerated. Here are a pictures from some of my favorite houses.

Drive Up Provo Canyon

On Friday night my whole family decided to go for a drive up Provo Canyon. She drove up to the dam to see how full it was. We made a stop a Bridal Veil Falls and took a walk.

HIS and HER shoes!

On Saturday I was finally able to take Randy shopping for his birthday present. He of course picked shoes because he loves them. He wears tennis shoes all the time. Well he walked out with a pair and so did I. His are the blue and mine are the purple. This model of Nike shoes has been out for about 2 weeks and they were on sale for $49 dollars. So Randy and I have matching shoes and they are so cool and comfty. I must admit that I thought they were really ugly but Randy talked me into getting them. He normally doesn't suggest me getting things so I was really surprised. I love my new shoes!

She's All GROWED Up!

My little sister Mikala graduated from high school on June 2, 2011. Randy and I were able to make a short trip down there to support her and watch her walk across the stage. It was also really cool for me to go because on June 2, 2006 I graduated from high school so it was my 5 year mark. I saw a ton of people that I graduated with and catch up with them for a bit. We are so proud of Mikala and can't believe that she is all growed up and going to start college in the fall.

5 YEARS ago today

5 years ago today I graduated from Timpanogos High School class of 2006. It is kind of weird to believe that it has been that long already. I have accomplished quite a bit in these last 5 years such as graduating from UVU with my associates, transfered to BYU-Idaho and will be graduating in December with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, got married, went on some fun vacations, etc. A lot has happened in five years and I look back and remember my high school days filled with homework, friends, basketball games, softball, football games, friday night stomps, awesome teachers, and last but not least the drama that is always involved with high school. I must admit I don't really miss high school and would never go back. I love my life now and wouldn't trade it for the world.
Today is also a special occasion because my little sister Mikala graduates today as well, exactly five years after me. Randy and I are going down to Utah today to watch her graduate I am really excited. I will post more about her graduation and our Utah trip next week. Well you all have a wonderful weekend.
HAPPY 5 YEARS CLASS OF 2006!
